Warehouse Team Lead

POSITION SUMMARY

AEL-Span/Walker SCM is looking for an experienced 3rd Shift Warehouse Team Lead for our operation in Plainfield, Indiana to lead departmental operations efficiently and effectively. We are looking for the right person who shares our philosophy of Operational Excellence daily. AEL-SPAN’s primary objective is to deliver the right part, to the right place, at the right time.

LOCATION:

• Plainfield, IN

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead all team members and activities.
• Ensure all product is correctly located (physically and in RT).
• Analyze, evaluate and advise on inventory discrepancies.
• Utilize KPI trends for operational improvements.
• Participate in 8D report preparation, when required.
• Direct and participate in special projects as needed.
• Enforce cleanliness and order throughout the warehouse

REQUIREMENTS:

• Warehouse/Logistics experience.
• Ability to safely operate forklift equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with 5S, Lean and Six Sigma concepts.
• Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Problem solving abilities, with demonstrated initiative and sound judgment.
